Day 23 - A picture of your favorite book
I wish i could take a real picture, but since the series of them is separated by about 2000 km, i stole someone else's picture.
They were my year 11 ESL class reading (only the first one though) and they followed me through most of year 11! They were also my year 11 christmas present from parents and i ordered them at the book shop and had they come from Canada.
I am also very happy to say that a stupid letter we wrote to ABC in english class asking them to make a movie out of this series was read by someone who actually took notice of it, and the movie is a 2010 release, sure not as great as the book, but YAY anyway.
The story mostly revolves around a group of friends from Aussie, who go out camping and when they go back to their families find out their country has been taken over by some indonesian looking people and there is a war. The rest of the volumes they pretty much run for their lives and hide away, doing some sabotaging every now and then. The last 3 books, "The Ellie Chronicles" mostly tell the after-war story. The country has been divided, half for the aussie's and half for the other people, and the border line happens to be right outside their door step, so trouble will keep coming in. Plus all the after war psychological crisis.
